I have finally finished my new collection of toys – my squidgy friends!
I designed these squidgy animals for a friend who was learning to knit, and wanted an easy toy pattern. The collection includes Barney Owl, Candy Rabbit, Oreo Panda, Penny Pig, Pudding the Cat and Topsy Turvy Turtle. They are totally huggable and squidgy.
I have tried to use basic techniques in the patterns, so they only require you to know how to knit, purl, cast on, cast off, increase using KFB (knit front and back), and decrease using K2TOG (knit two stitches together). You also need to change colours (knit stripes).
As with all my patterns, I have included row by row instructions so you don’t forget your place. As you need to sew the finished toys together, step by step construction photos are included in the patterns.
If you would like to make your own squidgy friends, the patterns are available from my stores on Etsy, Folksy and Ravelry.
PENNY PIG – she has a super curly tail
CANDY RABBIT – with candy cane pink stripes
OREO PANDA - He is black and white and squidgy in the middle
PUDDING THE CAT - a stripy squidgy sticky toffee pudding cat
BARNEY OWL - very wise, and huggable!
TOPSY TURVY TURTLE – you can choose which side is the top and which is the bottom

Adorable and with such sweet details!
